Irving Penn at The Met
Who is Irving Penn?
Every moment of inspiration has been better than the last. While in New York, I had the opportunity to visit The Met. My main goal was to visit The Art of the In Between but I noticed there was an exhibition of photographs by Irving Penn.
"I myself have always been in awe of the camera. I recognize it for the instrument that it is, part Strdivarius, part scalpel."

The Covers
The Vogue cover in the center is the most recognizable cover Irving Penn did for Vogue, April 1, 1950.
Black & White
I was really drawn to many of the black & white photographs which seemed to have been one of his signatures during that era.

The exhibit ended with a wall full of his fashion photography. I left feeling every bit of inspiration and even picked up something for my fav photographer to share in some of the inspiration.
